Does anyone have any feedback on the BL4690 Kubota backhoe? I'm in the market for either this model or the Woods 7500 for my 1987 Kubota L2850 and there are many positive remarks about the Woods but not much discussion on the smaller Kubota models. The Woods would mount via a subframe while the Kubota uses the 3point hitch. I'm told that there is no special ROPS for the L2850 -although mine might be tall enough to be considered safe. Has anyone experienced issues with the 3p setup? Will it strain the tractor hitch if extended loader operations are performed while the bhoe is attached? Any help appreciated!

Jeffrey,
I have a Woods 6500 on my Kubota B7500. It's amazing, it will out lift the front bucket by a substatiall amount. I have dug out rocks that would not fit in the front bucket. As far the Kubota Model goes, I have no experience. However, unless your going to be digging in soft soil or constantly taking it off, I would avoid the 3 point hitch model. I would worry about damaging the hitch assembly along with the rest of the machine.
Good Luck,
Bob ....

Bob, Thanks for the info. Have you had any problems with the Woods in any way as far as attaching, repairs etc? What size bucket are you using and have you done any other digging such as removing tree stumps or possibly drainage? I am considering the 7500 - do you know anyone that has this model? Did your 6500 come with an internal hydr pump?
Thanks,
Jeffrey ....
